Grass Valley, CA - Empire Mine State Historic Park - By Invitation Only - The Clubhouse - 1n 1905 an invitation to the newly constructed Clubhouse meant drinks on the veranda and a game of tennis, or perhaps bowling in the two-lane alley below the porch. Engineers, Manager and Influential Guests enjoyed parties and sports here. Miners were not invited.
