Wood Bird Images
04-17-2019 - Lampe, MO - Dogwood Canyon Nature Park – From the mid-19th century through the early-20th century, the use of painted, wooden, hollow or solid shorebird, goose, and duck decoys came into fashion among bird hunters. Hunters first learned to make duck decoys from local Native Americans, who made them out of reeds and colored them with ash and other items from the earth. These wood-carved decoys have continued to evolve into an art form celebrating America's duck hunting history.

on April 20, 2019This is truly a wonderful wood carving of the bird. That takes a lot of talent. Super shot. Thanks for your comments on my older dailies. I hope your HD crash is fixed now. It looks like you may not have internet since this is the last post I can see. Good luck, and my fingers are crossed that everything gets back in working order soon. AND........enjoy your vacation. I'm looking forward to the photos.

on April 20, 2019very lovely picture Rick!
I saw from Tru site you you had HD failure. I had a loss late last year when upgrading OS. It and one of my old drives had a fight and I lost. I had to pay to get it fixed. I had a weird configuration of my own mess with 4 external drives and backup of backups. I now have basically a blade server. I run a Synology Disk station. Four 4TB drives in a Raid confiuration and a 512 SSD for initial upload that the computer place setup for me.

on April 19, 2019Wonderful carving of what appears to be a Canada goose with goslings. Terrible news for you (and by extension, us) about the computer crash. Hope this doesn't put too big a damper on your vacation. Keep shooting!
