Seen from the Cumbres & Toltec Railroad
Chama, NM - The railroad gets its name from two geographical features along the route, the 10,015-foot (3,053 m)-high Cumbres Pass and the Toltec Gorge. Seen as we were climbing up to the Pass.

on October 29, 2021Interesting pond in the mountain meadow--neat that you could see it from the train as you went by!
Re: Wild horses--at first I thought I might have made the trip for nothing, as the horses were nowhere to be found. The next day I saw them in 5 different locations! Color me happy!
