on May 10, 2019PS. When I was a kid we raised cattle. When one would die, we had a place on our farm where we took their bodies. In the mid 1970s I took some Austin, Texas friends to the farm. They wanted to bring back some cow skulls, so we went and got several of them. We put them in the trunk of my car. When we got back to Houston (summer time and hot), we opened the trunk and a swarm of yellow jackets flew out of the car trunk into our faces. Fortunately no one got stung. Thanks for reminding me of that old memory.

on May 9, 2019Nice dramatic image. I like the satellite view from your map link, showing the rushing water in the Little Arkansas River and the small cataract just at the confluence. It provides nice context for the setting of this work.
