Alley Spring & Mill - Story's Creek School
Eminence, MO - Alley Spring & Mill - Story's Creek School - This one room schoolhouse stands on the grounds of Alley Spring. The Story's Creek Schoolhouse was built in 1896 on the Sam Smith farm about four miles northwest of Emminence and was used until 1957 when the local school district was consolidated.

on May 13, 2019It's hard to imagine the generations that were educated in that (and others) tiny school house. It's a testament to the talent and commitment of the teachers who had to teach all ages within one room.
