American Goldfinch - Juvenile

Wichita, KS - Sedgwick County Zoo - American Goldfinch - Females are a small drab finch unstreaked brown body with blackish wings and two pale wingbars and notched tail with a conical bill. Males have really black wings with bright wingbars and feather edges, while the females have duller brownish-black wings with buffy or brownish-white wingbars and edges.
