Illinois, Springfield - Places of Interest - Grace Lutheran Chruch Founded by Rev. Francis Springer D.D. in 1841and was a neighbor of Abraham Lincoln. On April 13, 1863 Lincoln wrote "Francis Springer is one of my best friends, than whom there is no more reliable man."
